News

Have you completed a DofE Award in the past with Huntington House?

Did you receive your certificate and badge?

If you have completed your Bronze or Silver Award and have not yet received your badge and certificate, please get in touch!

Prior to the pandemic there were about two dozen of you who finished your awards who we have yet to give your certificates and badges to. The lockdown meant we lost touch with a lot of you.

If you would like to have your badge and certificate (that you have earned) please email us at [email protected] or message us via the page, and we can sort this out by getting them to you.

Update - New Company Name & Team

We've been busy during the lockdowns preparing and re-branding. Our new community interest company name Breconshire Award Scheme Group accurately reflects our aim to deliver DofE awards to young people in and around the Breconshire area. There are some old and new faces in our team but we are still as dedicated as ever and are now looking to restart our operations. Keep an eye out for news regarding signing up for entry in Autumn 2022.

Our philosophy

Breconshire Award Scheme Group is a Community Interest Company which is based in Brecon. We believe that the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme should be open to everyone. Therefore we will welcome anyone who wants to register at our centre to do their award. We provide support and help where we can, especially to those who may find doing their Award financially challenging.

All of our leaders are volunteers and give up their time freely to support the young people with their expeditions and other sections of the award.  We therefore keep our costs to a minimum and do not make a profit.
